We know that for our clients the General Data Protection Regulation is one of the central issues on the agenda these days. That is why Appodeal is committed to collaborating with you on this topic and providing the most recent updates.
Currently, we are implementing all the processes in order to comply by May 25, 2018. As part of these processes, we’re updating our privacy policy. The document reflects the new legal requirements of the GDPR. In addition to these changes, we will release the stable GDPR-compliant SDK version 2.4 with Parallel Bidding before May 25, 2018. We will provide more details on that SDK version in further emails and blog posts.
❗N.B.: Please review this document in order to continue working with Appodeal as usual.
Here’s a quick overview of the changes:
User consent. Please note that GDPR compliance requires notifying the end users that their information is being collected. Our updated privacy policy sets out your responsibilities for making such disclosures to, and obtaining consent from, end users of your apps. As an app developer or publisher, by initializing our SDK you agree that you’re responsible for notifying the end users that you’re using Appodeal as a data collection-related SDK.
Transparency of information we use. We’ve made our privacy policy and terms of service even clearer for you. On these pages, you can find properly defined key terms, as well as learn about what types of data are being used, and how we process your information.
Clarity of information we share. We’ve carefully described the purposes of sharing your information with our third-party service providers, as well as listed these providers. Please note that Appodeal does not share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] if you have any questions or concerns.
We also encourage you to contact qualified legal professionals, if you haven’t done so already, to get more information and be well-prepared for the upcoming changes.
